Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TraderPrep (“TraderPrep”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use traderprep.org and our related services (the “Service”). TraderPrep is operated as a sole proprietorship based in New York, United States. If you have questions, contact us at support@traderprep.org.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and display name. Your password is handled and stored in hashed form by our authentication provider (Supabase); we never see or store your plaintext password.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your payment card details directly — we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing information such as your subscription plan, status, and payment history.
• Usage data. As you use the exercises we record activity such as which exercises you play, your scores and statistics, and the number of plays used against daily limits.
• Analytics and device data. We use Google Analytics, which collects information such as your browser and device type, the pages you view, approximate location derived from your IP address, and similar diagnostic data through cookies and similar technologies.
• Local device storage. For visitors who are not signed in, we store a small counter in your browser’s local storage to enforce the free daily preview limit. This stays on your device and is not tied to your identity.

How we use information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• To create and manage your account and authenticate you;
• To enforce free and paid usage limits and process subscriptions;
• To measure and improve the Service and understand how it is used;
• To respond to your requests and provide customer support;
• To protect the security and integrity of the Service and prevent abuse;
• To comply with our legal obligations.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies, primarily through Google Analytics, to understand usage and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings and can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Service function.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their functions:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management;
• Google Analytics — usage analytics;
• Render and Cloudflare — application hosting and content delivery.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TraderPrep, our users, or others. If TraderPrep is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see below).

Your choices and rights

You can review and update most of your account information from your account page. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email support@traderprep.org.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (note that we do not sell personal information). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and rely on established providers such as Supabase and Stripe for authentication and payments. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

TraderPrep is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
