Cracking the Five-Letter Code

Each of the letters A, B, C, D, E stands for a different number from 1 to 5 (each number used exactly once). The assignment obeys four rules: A+D=C A + D = C ; E≠5 E \neq 5 ; D+E=B+C D + E = B + C ; and C=D+1 C = D + 1 . Recover the number hiding behind each letter.
